ASSISTANT SWIM COACH JOB DESCRIPTION

SUMMARY
Wee Burn is seeking a passionate and dedicated Assistant Swim Coach to join our team for the summer season.This position is ideal for someone with a strong understanding of swimming techniques and a desire to work with athletes of varying skill levels.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Assistant Swim Coach will support the Head Coach with the following:
● Running effective practices
● Developing swimmers’ abilities
● Run swim meets
● Create meet lineups
● Creating a positive team atmosphere.
● Assisting the Head Coach in conducting daily swim practices Monday-Friday
● Conducting pre-team practice for Wee Burn’s Beach Camp
● Conducting private lessons as requested by members

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
● This job is a 10 week commitment. We run preseason practice Monday-Thursday from 4:00-5:00pm starting the first week of June. The season ends 8/9.
● During the regular season (once public schools are released for summer) practices run Monday-Friday 9:00-3:00
● ● Practice times are subject to change
● Coaches will also give private lessons for members, regardless of if the child is on the swim team or not.
● You must be Red Cross Lifeguard Certified
