BTCC DIVING COACH

The Burning Tree Country Club is currently seeking an enthusiastic, motivated and organized individual to coach the diving team. The Diving Coach reports to the Head Swim Coach, and works closely with the Pool Director and the Swim and Dive Committee. The Diving Coach is responsible for coaching and leading the divers on the swim team. The coach provides instruction and motivation for the diving team participants and is expected to attend all meets and team functions throughout the season. The Diving coach has direct responsibility for creating and maintaining a safe and fun environment for the diving participants.
Enthusiastic, dynamic presence with good communications skills.
Minimum of two years of Diving Instruction.
Competitive Diving Experience.
Must be available for pre-season practices (afternoons in June) as well as planning/orientation meetings.
Current with all necessary swim and first-aid certifications* (see list below)
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Create thorough, age-appropriate workout focusing on diving techniques.
Lead structured week-day practices (morning and afternoon) during the summer season & afternoon practices during the pre-season.
Create a supportive environment, where teamwork is showcased.
Create and maintain a Dive team participant roster.
Organize divers for all meets & create diving line-ups with the Head Swim Coach.
Maintaining meet records and scores.
Attend all team events: meets, invitationals, meetings and social events, etc.
Enforce club rules of conduct regarding the pool and diving boards.
Maintain a safe, clean and fun environment for dive team participants.
Work closely with Head Swim Coach & Pool Director to ensure and uphold safety protocols during practice hours and meets.
Work closely with the Pool Director to conduct on-site inter-club events or competitions.
Communicate & work effectively with the Head Swim Coach and Assistant Swim Coaches.
Engage parents and cultivate relationships.
Greet, interact and communicate with club members and guests in a pleasant and professional manner.
Responsible for ALL paperwork required for dual & Championship meets and invitationals in conjunction with the Head Swim Coach.
Attend County and Conference meetings as required, including meeting entry deadlines for both County & Conference Championship meets.
Valid CPR/AED and First Aid certifications.
Member of USA Swimming or USA Diving.
Job Available: 2017 Season.
Job Type: Contract.
Required experience: Coaching for a minimum of two years.
Salary will be based on qualifications and experience.
