The Pool Director is responsible for managing day to day operations of the pool areas, providing a first class experience for all members and their guests. The Pool Director will need to work with all club staff to help ensure a safe clean environment. This position reports to the Director, Programs and Member Services
Responsibilities include, but are not necessarily limited to, the following:
•Oversee pool deck, ensuring pool areas are always organized, tidy and free of trash.
•Help to create a friendly, enjoyable club atmosphere that allows for member enjoyment.
•Hire, train, and supervise lifeguard staff. Create weekly work schedules and maintain required staffing over the course of the full season.
•Identify pool maintenance issues and coordinate with Club maintenance or outside vendors for repairs and maintenance as needed.
• Monitor safety and hygiene standards as recommended by Club management and local health department.
•Work with the Aquatics Coaching Staff regarding swim team practice and swim meets.
•Enforce Club rules regarding conduct, guests, etc.
•Maintain all necessary records concerning pool maintenance (chemicals) and accident reports.
•Greet, interact and communicate with members and their guests.
•Ensure adequate staffing for club events and private member events held at the pool.
•Promote and coordinate scheduling of private swim lessons. Responsible for documenting and entering sessions in Northstar (club software).
Minimum of 1 year experience as a pool director.
Excellent communication skills.
Capacity to represent GWC in a positive manner.
Must be available to work 40+ hours per week, including weekends, from Memorial Day to Labor Day.
