The Lake Club seeks applicants for FULL-TIME LIFEGUARD positions for the 2018 Summer.

WHO YOU ARE:

Ideal candidates will be:
•Red Cross Certified in Lifeguard/First Aid/CPR/AED
•Steadfastly reliable
•Courteous, professional, and service-oriented
•Detailed and timely in all forms of communication.
•Self-motivated and willing to take initiative
•A team player

WHAT WE NEED:

•This lifeguard position seeks individuals who can commit 20-40 hours per week on average when schools are out of session.
•Our summer season runs from Memorial Day Weekend – Labor Day Weekend with 2 additional weekends in September. Required Orientations and Trainings will occur prior to Memorial Day weekend as well.
•Applicants must be 16 years old prior to the start of their employment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

•Maintain a safe, family-friendly environment for all members
•Initiate preventative lifeguarding to minimize risk
•Recognize and respond to emergency situations as per Red Cross Training protocol
•Maintain certifications through Red Cross, and maintain and practice skills through regular in-service training
•Enforce all club policies, rules, and regulations
•Provide professional, courteous service to all members at all times
•Maintain clear and concise records for pool usage, maintenance, pool chemistry, and medical/behavioral incidence
•Maintain cleanliness of pool and surrounding areas
•Assist members with accessing boats and maintaining a clean dock area
•Provide member services and serve as initial contact for member questions at pool information and services desk
•Clearly communicate questions/concerns from members and staff to Head Lifeguard, Pool Supervisors, Aquatics Director or other Leadership Team Members
•Complete ad hoc duties as assigned by Head Lifeguard, Pool Supervisors, Aquatics Director and other Leadership Team Members
